What to Write in an Islamic Graduation Card
·5 min read
Short lines for a degree, an exam, or a hafiz completion. MashaAllah, one proud sentence, and when to stop.

A result that took years can still get a one-line text. A card gives the day a place to sit. You do not need a speech. You need their name, MashaAllah, and one sentence that belongs to the work they did.
A degree or an exam
Name the result if you know it. “MashaAllah on your degree. I watched how hard this year was, and I am proud of you.” If you do not know the course, do not invent one. “MashaAllah. May Allah put barakah in what you do with this” is enough.
Do not turn the card into career advice. Do not ask what job they will get. The day is for the result, not the next plan.
Hafiz and Quran completion
This is not the same card as a university result, even when both are worth marking. For a hafiz or hafiza, or for finishing the Quran, keep the line on the achievement and a dua for steadfastness.
“MashaAllah. May Allah keep the Quran on your tongue and in your life.” That is a whole card. You can add their name and yours. You do not need to explain the reward.
When you barely know them
A neighbour, a colleague, a cousin you see at Eid. Two sentences still work. Congratulate them, wish barakah on the next step, and sign it. Skip the jokes about student debt.
The designs are in our Islamic graduation cards. Thick card, a kraft envelope, and either a short note or a blank page for your own line.
